doodles.ink. brings on pure nostalgia - it connects travelers to their favorite places and locals who are proud of the place or places they’ve called home.
Regina Schachter is the artist behind doodles.ink., a paper and gift company based directly east of the Golden Gate Bridge in Albany, CA. Regina's main muse are of landmarks and symbols that are known favorites to locals and tourists alike. She works closely with small California manufacturers to produce elevated eco-friendly souvenirs and gifts with the intention to be functional art.
Regina has been a graphic designer for over 15 years and a doodler for as long as she can remember. The name doodles.ink. came from her first art show called “Doodles on Canvas”, which showcased paintings of just that - doodles of swirls, florals and fun experimental pieces. For her, painting always feel like doodling. She painted freely in a way that felt right to her – without the intention to make anything look perfect. After all, she believes organic lines, visible brushstrokes and texture give art character. Regina’s art and hand-letterings are all done using the ipad pro and the procreate app as her main medium. This technique helps her merge her love of graphic design and fine art.
